Bespoke tailoring and made to measure suits brought to you by Midlands-based Ammi the Tailor

The tailoring production process

For made to measure and bespoke suits:

  • The customer chooses his materials and lining.
  • The style of suit is discussed and decided on.
  • The customer's measurements are taken.

For made to measure:

  • These details are sent to the manufacturer where the suit is made.
  • It is delivered in 4/5 weeks.
  • The customer then tries on the suit and if required any slight adjustments can be made.

For bespoke

  • The material is ordered from the cloth merchant.
  • It is then cut by Ammi in his shop in Moseley to the customer's measurements.
  • You can make an appointment to see your suit being cut.
  • At the first fitting the partly made jacket is tried on and adjusted to the customer's requirements.
  • At the second fitting when the suit is almost finished, the jacket and trousers are tried on to see the overall look of the finished suit.
  • The finishing of the suit then takes place and it will be ready for collection a few days later.
  • We offer a visiting service within a 20 mile radius.
